I am an avid supporter of the FIRE movement which stands for financial independence retire early. Millennials vs. Money is intended to signify the financial battle that many of us have experienced or are experiencing. Many things have changed from past generations so expectations should also change. Since we live in a different time, personal finance has to be constantly reappraised to fit each new generation. Finance has affected all aspects of my life even before I was consciously aware of it, considering that we live in a material world. Finance is important to me in my personal life because I was not made nor am I content with the lifestyle restraints that the average job imposes upon my life. “We simply aren’t made to live our lives in artificial light.
